Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Almond Clusters

Believe it or not, today’s recipe only requires three ingredients. Yes, you read that right. Three. They’re all named in the title, in fact. Oh, and they take all of 5 minutes to make. Have I sold you yet? I’ve definitely sold myself again.

So you start by melting your favorite kind of chocolate. I chose 72% dark chocolate from Trader Joe’s, but you can go with any brand or percent you’d like. If you’re vegan, make sure there’s no dairy in the chocolate ingredients.

Next, you drop a heaping tablespoon of natural peanut butter into the melted chocolate and stir away! The smell of the peanut butter and chocolate was already filling the room and tempting me to just start licking right then and there. But I used all my self control and continued with the recipe as planned. I know, no fun.

Next, you add in 1/2 cup of sliced almonds. Again, I got these at Trader Joe’s but I’ve seen similar ones at lots of other grocery stores. Stir in the almonds until everything is combined, and you’re sooo close to done. All you have left to do it drop them by spoonful onto parchment paper and freeze for 30 minutes. This was definitely the hardest part of the recipe… waiting…. 30 long minutes.

Once you’ve waiting for those thirty excruciatingly-long minutes, they’re ready to devour! At first bite, you get that rich dark chocolateย peanut butter flavor with an awesome crunch of the sliced almonds. It’s almost like a homemade candy bar (that took a whole 5 minutes to make)! I’d call it the perfect weeknight dessert. Because you know you’re always craving that little bit of sweet after dinner ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Oh my gosh, these look amazing! I’ve been loving chocolate covered salted almonds, so I bet I could add some sea salt on top of these ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Oh that would be so perfect!! I never even thought of that ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. These look so great, Liz! I love TJ’s 72% dark chocolate; I always use it when I’m baking…and just for eating on it’s own too with some wine! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I also love peanut butter and almonds, so the fact that you combined these three together into 1 really simple and quick dessert sounds perfect to me! Lovely job ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks Beeta! I’m obsessed with that chocolate for baking as well, so it only made sense to use it in this delicious bite. Sometimes the simple desserts are just as good, and that is totally the case with this one! Definitely reminds me of a homemade candy bar ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks Ashley! Dark chocolate is the BEST, and this just makes it even better ๐Ÿ™‚
