Happy hump day!!
I had to stop and check my calendar because I could not believe it was Wednesday ALREADY?!? This week is absolutely flying by, mostly because I just got home from my bachelorette weekend with my sisters in Austin (whoop whoop! so much to share with you guys on Friday). Ohh, and I go back to school very, very soon, so I’m savoring every last minute of my free time this week.
So while savoring that free time, I made cocktails! Cocktails in basically my new favorite glasses, like, ever.
Just check these out!
This week (and last) I’ve been reviewing a few of the products from the Uncommon Goods’ wedding line and have been so impressed with the kitchenware I’ve tried so far. I told you guys in my last post how much I love Uncommon Goods, not only for their products, but also their company values. They sell a variety of unique gifts, home decor, and products, many of which are handmade by artists all over the US, one third of which use recycled or upcycled materials. Too cool!
Anyways, last Tuesday, we ate this decadent, yet guilt-less gluten free cake on this stunning cake stand, and this week we’re making cocktails in these stunning custom glasses. Couldn’t get much better than that!
Let’s talk about these glasses. Aren’t they just gorgeous? As soon as I took them out of the box, I was so impressed by the quality of the engraving and promptness of the delivery (less than 2 weeks)— pretty darn good for custom design.
These glasses would certainly make a great engagement gift, bridal shower present, or even groom gift. And if you’re looking for more unique gift options for your next wedding, I love these personalized gift options. I’ve also been taking a look at their gorgeous bridesmaid gifts, since our wedding is coming up in just a month and a half (eeee!)
Ok, now that we’ve talked about these beauts, let’s get onto this fabulous cocktail INSIDE them.
Raspberry. Lime. Whiskey. Seltzer. Ahhhhh!
I’m not typically a fruity cocktail kind of girl, but if fresh fruit is involved, then I’m totally onboard. And that’s the basis of this smash. You start by smashing fresh raspberries with just a little bit of sugar to bring out the sweetness. Add in a shot of whiskey and a big ol’ squeeze of lime juice. Top it off with some raspberry lime seltzer (or seltzer of choice), give it a stir, and drink away!
This cocktail is seriously one of the freshest ones I’ve ever had. I love the balance of sweetness and tart, and how all the flavors mix and mingle together. I swear I could drink these babies all day long!
And what a better way to end the summer than with the most summery of drinks? In the cutest glasses 🙂
