Friday Five 1.29.16

Happy Friday ya’ll! The snow is finally all melted here in North Carolina and we’re back into the normal life routine (though I’m secretly missing those snow days 😉 ). Are you still covered in feet of snow?!? I know lots of my friends up north are still feeling the effects of Storm Jonas— some of them have been out of school ALL WEEK! Crazy!

In other news, I’ve been focusing a lot on mindfulness this week— doing a little extra yoga and cooking up some extra nutritious meals to keep my body (and mind) feeling it’s best. These winter months are notorious for making me want to gorge on comfort food and be, well, a little lazy with my physical activity (aka LOTS of couch time), so I’m trying to be proactive in giving my body what it needs. Anyone else get the same way during the winter? Yep, I totally understand.

I have quite a mix of link love and recipes for you guys this week— lots of which I was pouring over during the snow storm. Hope you have a wonderful Friday! Oh, and stop back this weekend for an extra post on the Yoga Challenge I’ve been participating in this month (I’ve got a little challenge for you in store too!).

…5 recipes i made this week….

  1. this winter massaged kale bowl. but i put a miso-ginger dressing on it instead #comingsoon
