Friday Favorites

It’s Friday! This week went by a little more quickly (since we had Veteran’s Day off), but it still feels SO good that the weekend is so near. I’m looking forward to staying home and relaxing this weekend, especially after the whirlwind trip we had last weekend to Boston to see my girlfriend get married:

Most of the time, I am such a home-body. I adore lazy weekends where I can lounge around the house and take my time getting weekend chores done. I love having lots of time to try out different recipes, and then inevitably spend just as much time cleaning up my disaster of a kitchen afterwards. I would take a quiet night in with Nate any day over going out on the town for the evening. It’s strange, because I’ve been like this ever since I was a child. Once a home-body, always a home-body I guess. Or maybe I’m just a 35-year-old in a 25-year-old’s body 🙂

Anyways, here are some recipes I spotted this week that need to be shared. Try them out if you’re having a lazy weekend at home like me!

add this to my veggie burger list: black bean butternut sliders

love this idea of making lentil chili

broccoli noodle soup, two of my favorite soup ingredients

can’t wait to try this garden vegetable pizza with garlic whole wheat crust… so simple!

I can’t believe these beautiful apple cinnamon scones are gluten-free!

I adore adding beans to desserts, so these double chocolate black bean muffins looks amazing

this grain-free blueberry crumble looks super easy and delicious

as do these flourless chocolate almond cakes
